International Automation Professionals Day (IAPD), observed on 28 April, recognizes professionals whose work has contributed to the field of automation and highlights the role automation plays across industry. The date also commemorates the founding of ISA.
ISA is observing IAPD throughout April by highlighting the individuals behind the systems, technologies and processes shaping the automation profession.
As part of the month-long observance, ISA is holding a contest in April for automation professionals and students. Participants are invited to submit a photo or video of themselves working, studying or otherwise engaging in automation, along with a brief description of how they believe automation is making a positive impact. Three submissions will be selected to receive prizes.
ISA will also host an IAPD webinar featuring speakers from across the automation field discussing how the profession is evolving and what developments may shape its future.
